On Tuesday, April 8th, we celebrated Second Chance Month with an insightful Pathways to Employment webinar focused on supporting individuals reentering society. Our speakers included Augie Ghilarducci, President and COO of 2nd Opportunity, and Torrey Leach, Workforce Development Manager at the NC Department of Adult Correction. Together, they discussed the barriers faced by formerly incarcerated individuals, explored strategies to create job opportunities for those with a criminal record, and highlighted programs and initiatives aimed at reducing recidivism. Augie and Torrey also shared their personal journeys, emphasizing the transformative impact of second chances on their lives.
